Cinnamon Apple Crumb Cake

Perfect treat for a gray & cold morning...

When I got up this morning, I was so tried from not being able to fall asleep last night. Stress and cold temperatures do that to me. Anyhow, I couldn't see any sunlight peaking into my curtains. All I could see were gray skies, when I looked out the kitchen window. It was (and, still is) cold! I immediately turned on the oven and decided that I needed to make something warm and comforting for breakfast. So, I asked my mom what she wanted and she said that she had found a nice Cinnamon-Apple Coffee Cake recipe. I checked it out and decided to give it a try. Once I got the coffee cake into the oven, I whipped up some fresh heavy whipping cream to have along with the cinnamon-apple delight! As this scrumptious treat was baking the whole house filled with the delicious scent of apples, cinnamon, and a few little secrets that I added to the batter. It emerged from the oven a lovely cinnamon-sugar coated, golden brown beauty! I'll post the recipe in the next couple of days when I get a chance to type it up! Enjoy the pictures!
