Lemony goodness...

Lemony goodness for who?! For everyone around me, expect me! I am not a fan of citrus or recipes using citrus. There's something about that tangy taste that bothers my palette. I am more of a vanilla, cinnamon, and chocolate girl. However, these rolls were quite tasty; I ate an entire roll. That's something outrageous for me to do! LOL

Anyhow, I came across this recipe on Easter Sunday and I promised my sister that I would make them soon. Well, on Monday evening she printed out the recipe for Sticky Lemon Rolls with Lemon Cream Cheese Glaze from The Kitchn blog and asked me to make them. So, I did; but, only because the sweet dough recipe is very much like the sweet dough recipe I make often, so I knew that they would be good.

Like I said, on Monday night I made the dough, formed the pinwheels, and put them in the fridge to chill overnight. I got up in the morning, let them rise for an hour, and then popped them in the oven. As they were baking, I whipped up the Lemon Cream Cheese Glaze. They smelled really good, and of course tasted amazing...that is to someone who loves lemon. ;) I had a meeting with one of my thesis committee member's later that day, and she is one of those "lemon-lovers," and she was thrilled to receive one of these luscious lemon rolls. Heck, after all, she's reading my thesis, that's the least I could do.
